Joe Tetteh trained at University of London, Goldsmith’s College of Art and Design from 1959-1970. He gained degrees in Fine Art, 3D Product and Interior Design and Ceramics.

Whilst establishing a career in Education - lecturing in Ceramics and 3D Design - he continued developing his body of creative work holding over one hundred exhibitions both nationally and internationally. His works are in private collections around the world, including Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Japan, Canada, Finland, USA and of course the United Kingdom.

After having held the post of Head of Department for 3D Design including Ceramics at Mid - Warwickshire College of Further Education until 1989, Joe retired from lecturing to set up a design consultancy specifically focusing on schematic interior designs within the international hospitality market and the corporate environment. This led to also designing interior and exterior landscape schemes for private residences and villas

The desire to produce creative work of a more personal nature remained strong within Joe and in 2002 he made the decision to leave the interior design field to concentrate on re-establishing his reputation as a creative artist producing vibrant work, full of energy and often echoing the spirit of the continent of his birth, Africa.
